Welcome to Mrs. Susan Phu, Manager of Teaching, Training and Policy at NQT

Mrs. Susan Phu is the new Manager – Teaching, Training and Policy at Nam-Quang Tuition. Her primary aim at NQT will be to improve the quality and standard of teaching by NQT tutors and ultimately the academic standard of students at NQT. Susan will be responsible for NQT's new recruitment and training procedures, in particular, working in conjunction with university education faculties to source high quality NQT teaching staff. Susan will also be training and re-training new and existing staff in improved classroom and student management and teaching techniques.

Susan originally graduated from RMIT in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and later a Diploma of Education at Melbourne University with a specialisation in Media Studies and Social Studies teaching methods.

Susan’s diverse career in education has spanned well over 10 years. She has taught extensively in Australia, Asia and Europe. Susan was an original member of the NQT team in 1998 during its formation and was pivotal in helping NQT build its education mission. She later became an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) teaching grammatical and conversational English in a host of government primary and secondary schools in Japan. She has also taught VCE English, VCE International Politics and VCE Media Studies, as well as Japanese, Social Studies and secondary English at a leading Grammar school in Melbourne. Most recently, Susan has taught in a variety of schools throughout South London and in Kent, in the United Kingdom. She primarily taught secondary school English, including General Certificate of Secondary Education English and BTEC Media (BTEC is a British vocational qualification) in Croydon, South London.

Susan comes to NQT with strong experience and passion for education. NQT is delighted to welcome Susan back to the NQT team once more.
